Hi Angela, This is indeed very powerful poem, being ill treated as a child all my childhood I know and feel this poem. I guess the other place is better than this heartless earth for the wingless angel. Read them with tears. Truly. Prasad

Angela, wow, This is a powerful poem, oh, this is something that is happening all over and what can we do about it. Several years ago a mother killed her 4 year old daughter with the cast the mother was wearing on her arm---all because she and her fellow low-life boyfriend were being watched in the basement ( doing you know what)  by a curious, innocent little girl, sitting on the stairsteps. They dragged her body to the river. This haunted me for a long, long time. All I know is that if I had known she had been abused all her life, I would have took that little angel from that horrible house, and I would not have cared what the police would have done to me.  She had long blond hair fixed up like the Olsen twins on tv. This is the first time I have been able to think about it for a long time.  Maybe your poem was also meant to be read by me, to finally accept what happened and not freeze everytime I have to go anywhere near that crime area.
